Freeport is a fishing village located at the western end of Long Island. At one point, it was also an important boat building centre.
Westport is a fishing village located on Brier Island, the second island off the end of Digby Neck.
Sandy Cove stretches from one side of Digby Neck to the other. It has a wonderfull protected harbour for its fishing fleet' and a beautiful sandy beach on the Fundy side.
Little River is a fishing villiage on the St. Mary's side of Digby Neck. It was also an important fish-processing area.
Mink Cove is located on the St. Mary's shore of Digby Neck. It was at one time home to a fish meal processing plant.
Tiverton is a fishing village located on Long Island, on Petite Passage.
Lake Midway is located half-way down Digby Neck. Many fishing villages on the neck depended on the lake for ice and recreation.
Centreville is a fishing village located on the Fundy side of Digby Neck.
Rossway is located on the St.Mary's bay side of Digby Neck. It was an important fishing village especially known for its herring seines.
Culloden is located on the Bay of Fundy, west of Point Prim lighthouse. It's a lumbering and fishing area.
Bay View is located just outside of Digby, overlooking Digby Gut and the Bay of Fundy. Some of the eariler settlers manned the life boat station.
Conway lays just outside of Digby town, and was once a rich farming area.
Marshalltown is located inland, just outside of Digby. It was a farming and lumbering area, and had (and still has) a significant Black population.
Bloomfield is a farming and lumbering area located well inland in the Municipality.
Ashmore is a farming and fishing village located along St. Mary's Bay, halfway between Digby and Weymouth.
Weymouth was an important commercial and mill centre, lovated on the Sissiboo River.
Riverdale is one of the many small inland communities in the Municipality, known for lumbering and farming.
Weymoyth Falls was an important lumbering centre. It also had (and still has) a significant Black population.
Sissiboo Falls is located on St. Mary's Bay, and was an important mill and lumber shipping area.
Doucetteville is located in the inland portion of the Municipality. It has a rich tradition of farming and lumbering.
North Range is located well inland in the Municipality, and will be remembered for its lumbering and farming.
Gilbert's Cove is located on the mainland site of St. Mary's Bay. It was an important fishing village.
Barton is a farming, fishing, and lumbering village located along St. Mary's Bay about 10 km from Digby.
Landsdowne is located on the road from Digby to Bear River. It was an important lumbering area.
Bear River was a thriving mill town, with lumbering the mainstay of the economy. It is located inland from the Annapolis Basin. It is also handy to the municipality's largest native reserve.
Acaciaville was a farming and lumbering village located inland from Digby.
Joggins Bridge is located on the Annapolis Basin, halfway between Digby and Smith's cove. It was an important crossroads area.
Smith's Cove is located on the Annapolis Basin, and amongst other things was a popular tourism destination.
